With Graduations fast approaching, I decided to make my Brother and Sister-in-law a decoration for their front door.
With my Niece’s graduation this year you start to go back and think of all the memories of the past, which we had done that with my son a few years back.
You can’t believe how fast the time goes, but when you’re in the midst of sports, practices, and everything else you have going on, you’re just going through the events. But when you pull out those pictures from Preschool to present, it all comes rushing back to you how fast time goes. . .sniff, sniff
My niece really liked this decoration for the front door of her home. As a matter of fact, she told me she was going to use it as part of her decorations for her Graduation party! I started with the letters of her school and then painted them the school colors, which as you can see, are black and orange. This was a very easy project to do, my daughter painted the letters for me and then she painted each circle after I stenciled them on. I glued the graduation cap on the B and glued one strand of ribbon each, on the back of the B and P, which I tied in a bow so it could be hung. Of course after I took this picture, I had noticed there was glue that spread under the cap. I didn’t notice when I bought the glue that it said it dries white. I thought I picked up the one that dries clear! No worries, you can just go back over the white glue with your orange paint!
I like this Graduation Door Decoration not only because it’s cute, but because my brother and sister-in-law are able to use it for their other children as well! This project is one that you can have your kids help you out with and give as a nice gift or like in my case, something to decorate the proud Parents of a Graduate’s home with!
Congratulations to my Niece and to all the Graduating Class of 2016! Good Luck and God Bless!
